Did Bieber Find God?

by Ivy Jacobson

Maybe Pattie Mallette's plea for people to pray for her troubled son, Justin Bieber, struck a chord with the Biebs himself. After a hell of a year that includes two arrests so far (one for DUI and one for assault), the "Confident" singer was reportedly on the hunt for some spiritual guidance this weekend. On Saturday, Justin Bieber reportedly wanted to be baptized in NYC, according to the NY Post. The outlet says that Bieber and his team spent Saturday looking for a property in Manhattan with a private pool with the Hillsong Church NYC to "conduct a baptism" and "cleansing ritual." However, they couldn't find a place in time. Well, that makes sense. There are baptisms, and then there are Justin Bieber's baptisms that are probably a bit more high maintenance.

But I guess since he couldn't find the right place to be baptized, Bieber had to settle for going to the Leather and Laces Super Bowl party on Saturday instead and skateboarding on the dance floor after he was told not to. Close enough.

Hillsong Church is a megachurch that's known to have many celebrity worshippers in their congregation, and Bieber has attended Hillsong's services before. Bieber attended church in September last year, and tweeted at Pastor Carl Lentz: ""Love to my guy @carllentzNYC for the amazing sermon at church this morning. Love you man. I broke down today. Thank u :)."

“Justin is serious about his Christian faith, and after recent events, he needed to take a pause,” the outlet's source reports.

This could be true, since Bieber tweeted on Tuesday:

Maybe he found his faith somewhere along the way.

However, he should know that if you can't find a suitable place to worship, it's just as good, if not better, to cleanse yourself at the temple of manners, common sense, and not being a nuisance to the general public every five minutes.
