A New 'Me Before You' Movie Trailer Is Here!

by Emma Cueto

There have been some amazing romance novel movie adaptations over the years, and all signs indicate that another one is on the way. A new trailer for the movie adaptation of Me Before You by Jojo Moyes has just been released, and from the looks of it, you should just start buying your tickets now. Because it looks fantastic.

Romance novels turned big screen attractions have been a major deal since The Notebook. Now that the number of Nicholas Sparks movie adaptations has climbed into the double digits, I am always happy to hear that someone else is getting a turn (especially since Nicholas Sparks seems to have some weird romance superiority complex, among other things). So needless to say, I'm already set to cheer for any big-budget romance adaptation that lets an author new to the box office shine. And boy does it look like Me Before You is going to shine.

The film, which will be released on June 3, is based on the bestselling novel by Jojo Moyes, first published in the UK in 2012. The story focuses on Louise Clark, an ordinary young woman from a working class family who takes a job caring for Will Traynor, a formerly high-achieving businessman and adventurer whose life changed drastically after an accident landed him in a wheelchair. What follows is magical and heartbreaking and made for the big screen.

It helps that the film boasts an all-star cast. Sam Claflin, known recently for playing Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games series, and Emilia Clarke, aka Danaerys from Game of Thrones, co-star as Will and Lou. And fans will probably also recognize Matthew Lewis (aka Neville Longbottom), Charles Dance, and Jenna Coleman. As Clafin and Clarke note in announcing the trailer, it is all "beautifully British."

Have I mentioned how excited I am for this movie?
