How To Buy Tickets To Drake's Summer Sixteen Tour

by Michelle Lulic

Following Drake's Monday morning tour announcement fans only have one thing on their mind: how can I buy tickets to Drake's Summer Sixteen Tour? With tour appearances set in cities throughout the United States and Canada — including an overlap with Drake's 7th Annual Toronto-based OVO Fest — tickets are bound to be selling out fast. And, once you've got enough money saved, you're going to want to be the first person to click "Buy Tickets" the second they go on sale. So, here is your very own guide to everything you need to know about buying Summer Sixteen Tour tickets. You're welcome.

First off, I would definitely not advise that you wait until you've downloaded and listened to all of Drake's upcoming Views From The 6 album before finalizing your decision to go. Mainly because, aside from announcing the tour dates themselves, Drake shared on Twitter and Instagram that tickets to his summer tour with Future are going on sale Friday, April 29 — the same day that his new album, Views From The 6, is set to drop — via Ticketmaster and Live Nation. If you're a big enough Drake fan, then you're going to want to be pretty quick with your mouse to make sure you download the album and buy your tickets at once that day, is all I'm saying.

But, if you don't want to wait for Friday along with the rest of the general public, Summer Sixteen pre-sale tickets go on sale as early as Tuesday, April 26 at 10 a.m. EST for certain cities. However, those eligible for pre-sale tickets only include fans with American Express cards and those purchasing the VIP Packages. Different offers are available through Live Nation through their mobile app as well. So now is the time to figure out if there's any way you can buy your tickets three days before they are bound to sell out.

As for those of you looking to get into the Summer Sixteen Tour when it crosses with OVO Fest at Toronto's Air Canada Centre on Sunday, July 31 and Monday, August 1, your ticket-buying process may be a little bit more challenging. When it comes to the rules of the ticket-selling game, all tickets for OVO Fest are going on sale at once for the general public on Friday, April 29 at 10 a.m. EST.

So set your alarm clocks, get a good night's sleep, and get ready to be the first person to buy tickets the second they go on sale. Wishing you the best of luck.
