Fred And George Fans Will LOVE This Video

by Emma Oulton

The latest feature on Pottermore has got me all giggly and sentimental: "An Index of Mischief" lays out all of Fred and George Weasley's greatest pranks in one gorgeous infographic. The picture is laid out to look like one of Hogwart's tallest towers, but in each room, one of the Weasley twins is getting up to no good. And at the bottom of the page, you'll find all of the Weasley's spectacular inventions in all their glory.

Fred and George were two of the most beloved characters in the whole Harry Potter series, and two of the most notorious students at Hogwarts. I mean heck, even Peeves took orders from them. The Weasleys were no ordinary troublemakers...

One of my favorite parts of the series is the Weasleys' dramatic departure from Hogwarts in Order of the Phoenix and the legacy they leave behind. Professor Flitwick even kept a section of their Portable Swamp rather than cleaning it up — as he was so impressed with their magical ability. After the Weasleys left, "a great number of students [vied] for the newly vacant positions of Troublemakers-in-Chief" — but seeing all their mischief in one place, like in the beautiful Pottermore infographic, it's clear the Weasley twins were irreplaceable.

The picture serves as a highlight reel for some of the most brilliant moments in the Harry Potter books — such as Harry getting the Marauder's Map, Dudley falling victim to the Weasleys' Ton-Tongue Toffees, and of course, the Weasley twins pelting Voldemort in the face with a snowball.

Boys, mischief managed.
