Kim K Is Giving North Her Met Gala Dress

As celebrity wardrobes go, the Kardashian and Jenner family's are probably amongst the most fabulous (also, the most full of Balmain). If you've ever thought to yourself, "I wonder who gets to keep all of those gowns," there are answers. Kim Kardashian is giving her 2016 Met Gala dress to North, her almost-3-year-old daughter. So, if you didn't think you'd be jealous of a toddler at some point today, you were wrong. In an interview on the Met Gala red carpet with E!, Kardashian said that North was admiring her gown as she walked out the door to the event (can you blame her?), and she — being the cool mom she is — assured her that she could have it when she got home. Obviously.

"Leaving the house, my daughter was like 'mommy, I need that dress' and I was like, 'as soon as we get home it's all yours!" Kardashian said in the interview. "You can wear it to prom!' Do whatever you want with it!'"

Granted, given that the dress probably weighs a solid 15 pounds, being made of pure sparkles or gold or reflective glass pieces or whatever it is that Balmain uses to make things so damn sparkly, North probably won't be wearing the gown any time soon.

She's also, like I said, only (almost) 3. So there's another reason why it may not work for her any time soon. But, hey, small child or otherwise, it's pretty awesome to know that gown is waiting for you when your next big gala comes up or when you just want to feel really fabulous.

Enjoy, North!

(Still jealous, though).
