Craig Gives Naomie A Ring On 'Southern Charm'

Whew, I can move away from the edge of my seat: On Monday’s episode of Southern Charm, Craig finally gave Naomie that stunning ring he dropped serious clams on. A quick refresher: Several episodes ago, the aspiring bourbon connoisseur purchased not an engagement ring, but a promise ring. (I will not make a ring on a string joke. I will not make a ring on a string joke. I will not make a ring on a string joke.) And with bated breath, we waited week after week for the moment when the young gent presented the bauble to his girlfriend.

Would Craig surprise her with the ring in one of the moving boxes? Nope. Would Craig surprise her with the ring in the pint of Talenti gelato? Nope. Would Craig surprise her with the ring in a roller skate? Nope. Would Craig surprise her with the ring in one of the bourbon tasting glasses? Nope.

So, how did Craig go about surprising Naomie? He stuck the ring in his watch box, asked Naomie to help him pick out a watch before he left for work, and waited for the chips to fall as they may. In a talking head, he said he was inspired by rom-coms and “always hoped to be that guy [in a romantic comedy] one day.”

And how did the watch box ring gambit go over?

Pretty darn well. Naomie's exact words: “Craig, holy sh**. This is beautiful.” There were happy tears, they told each other they love each other, and Craig said he wanted to get married one day. And then he added that he would be late for work, but it was worth it.

Aw, Craig! You darling rom-com hero, you.
