The BECCA X Jaclyn Hill Shadows Have This Finish

by Melodi Erdogan

Just in case you missed the beauty news of the century, it's true: the latest release by Jaclyn Hill for BECCA Cosmetics will not only feature a face palette and Champagne Pop in two neew formulas, but also an eyeshadow palette. If you're still reeling from the news, then I don't blame you one bit! You may be asking yourself "are the BECCA X Jaclyn Hill eyeshadows sparkly or matte?" Thankfully, the palette features both finishes for endless possibilities.

That's right, the Champagne Collection Eye Palette features both sparkly and matte eye shadows. Out of the five colors, two of them — Chardonnay and Champagne Toast — are sparkly, while the other three — Cordial, Cognac, and Bordeaux — are totally matte. So whether you prefer a shimmering shadow, a flat matte look, or a mix of both (my personal favorite), this palette will have an option for you!

And if it's range in textures hasn't drawn you in yet, just wait until you see swatches. When the news of the eye palette was still only a rumor (it was confirmed at the collection's launch event in NYC on Tuesday night), makeup influencer Trendmood1 posted the product on her Twitter account, complete with swatches of the shades.

How cute is that packaging? The two sparkly colors would act as perfect highlighters on the brow bone or the inner eye. The three matte shades on the right side of the palette have intense color payoff. They're probably designed to make blending effortless and easy no matter what kind of eye look you're going for.

The palette, along with the rest of the Champagne Collection, is set to release online at Sephora.com on May 26 at 9 AM PST and in Sephora stores on June 16. If you weren't sure about the Champagne Collection Face Palette or the liquid and cremé Champagne Pop versions, this eye palette will definitely sell you on the collection.

Priced at $40, it's a diverse palette that is well worth it. Even though the price tag may seem high, consider how often you'll be using all of the gorgeous neutrals. And if you are planning on buying the whole Champagne Collection, well then just imagine how gorgeous these shadows will look with the highlights and blushes. I'll leave it at that!

I don't think anyone would complain about having this palette on their vanity because it's that good. Plus, the fact that it's approved by the MUA goddess Jaclyn Hill herself makes it all the more worth it!
