Urban Decay's Moondust Palette Costs This Much

Urban Decay is known for its blockbuster palettes, ranging from the recently reintroduced Naked Vault to its latest Alice Through the Looking Glass edition, which was a reprise lined up with the second film in the new Alice in Wonderland franchise. Palettes are Urban Decay's thing, so much so that I am already biting my knuckles in anticipation over what's to come for the 2016 holiday season. But I'm getting too far ahead of myself, since The Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Palette, which is part of the brand's Fall 2016 collection, just landed on Sunday, July 10 via the brand's site.

The Moondust palette features eight super sparkly shades in one of the brand's most popular textures. It is packaged in a beyond cool gunmetal case. As for the eyeshadows, they are bright and bold, so you can come up with innumerable customized eye looks. How much is the Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow palette, which is still in stock on the UD site?

The palette has a $49 price tag. That shakes out to just over $6 per shadow. Also, the fact that you can do so many color pairings makes this palette so worth the spend!

Urban Decay confirmed in the product description that its devoted Beauty Junkies have been requesting a Moondust palette ever since the brand launched this shadow texture.

The Moondust texture offers high impact sparkle but it's sophisticated. There a no chunks of glitter in these shadows. Instead, you get a 3-D, metallic, diamond-like look. So yeah, the Moondust formula is grown up glitter of the tres sophisto sort.

Expect to hit pan on more than one candy-colored shade in this sparkly palette. You can mix and match so many colors. All of the colors in the top row go together, as do all of the colors in the bottom row. You can also pair anything on the top with anything on the bottom, depending on what bold look you are going for.

As is the case with most Urban Decay products, even the palette's outer shell is edgy and cool. It's always about the details with Urban Decay — both inside and out. Brand founder Wende Zomnir teased the palette earlier this summer and BOOM! It's here already. Not a moment too soon, either.
