Tune In To The 2016 VMA Red Carpet

by Augusta Statz

When you get this many music superstars in one place, it’s always amazing. So, you’re not going to want to miss out on a minute of the action. What time does the 2016 VMA red carpet start? Tune in to see all of the incredible fashion moments before these musicians ever take the stage.

According to the MTV VMA website, you need to tune in at 6:15 p.m. ET/3:15 p.m. PT on August 28 to catch the night’s best fashion moments. The red carpet is scheduled to last for two hours and 45 minutes, so there’s plenty of time for incredible well-dressed celeb sightings.

The red carpet will be aired live on MTV and live-streamed online on the official 2016 VMA website. So whether you’re in front of your TV or your computer, you don’t have to miss a minute of this awards show. Britney Spears is hitting the stage for the first time in 10 years, Rihanna is accepting the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and Ariana Grande is performing. Needless to say, this is going to be a night of must-see television. Everything should be over around midnight (eastern time), so cancel your plans for the evening. There’s too much good music to watch live to do anything else.

The fact that Spears will be hitting the stage again is enough reason to watch the VMAs, alone. Might as well see her kill it on the red carpet, too.

The red carpet appearances never disappoint, and 2016's bound to be no different.

The pre-show immediately follows the red carpet, and you're not going to want to miss out on that, either.

Following the pre-show, the real fun begins. Get ready for some must-see performances.

Sunday can't get here soon enough!
