The Only Seal Of Approval Obama Needs

by Emma Goddard

After President Barack Obama made a somewhat surprising appearance on Between Two Ferns alongside host and interviewer Zach Galifianakis, the people in this country who don’t like to have fun, freaked out. Despite the haters that he will always have however, Obama still has one major supporter of his interview: his daughter, Malia. And we all know that receiving approval from your teen daughter is key to success, even as the president. Obama, who recently interviewed with Ryan Seacrest about the Affordable Care Act and shopping at The Gap among other things, said, “I wasn’t familiar with this thing, but when I was at the dinner table with the girls and I said, ‘Well today I did something with Zach, it’s called Two Ferns I think?’ Malia was so excited!”

So although Obama did have one fan take his side in the debate on “should the president do this interview or should he not?” it’s something to ponder knowing that there are even more absurd shows he could appear on. Would Americans be in an uproar then?

Maybe one day we’ll have the opportunity to watch Obama on an episode of My Drunk Kitchen, which has featured Mary Louise Parker and Jamie Oliver in the past. While he’s at it, the president could even give Jenna Marbles a shout out on her YouTube channel, as well.

It would especially be hysterical if he appeared alongside actors on Drunk History to portray one of the presidents before him. Additionally, we’ve seen Obama make a quick appearance on Saturday Night Live, but I’m pretty sure he’d be the coolest president and dad ever if he actually hosted on the show.

Here's hoping Malia always gives dad the presidential seal of approval.
