Brad & Angelina's Prenup Is Reportedly Very Clear

by Nicole Pomarico

I'm still trying to process the fact that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are divorcing, but now that their split is official, updates just keep rolling in. Fortunately, it seems like the legal part of their breakup will be pretty cut and dry... at least, when it comes to their finances, anyway. According to TMZ, Jolie and Pitt's prenuptial agreement is very clear about the way they'll separate their money, although it reportedly doesn't specify what should happen with their children. Bustle has reached out to reps for Jolie and Pitt in regards to this report, but has not yet received a response.

Thanks to inside info from sources claiming to be close to the former couple, TMZ reports that Jolie and Pitt are worth a combined $400 million and own 12 properties together. And although the details of who gets what haven't been revealed, reportedly the prenup is very thorough in dividing up their assets so there won't be any question about it when it comes time for them to go to court.

However, custody of their children allegedly isn't even mentioned in the agreement, so while, reportedly, nothing about their finances is fuzzy, custody might end up being an issue. When news first broke of their divorce last week, it was reported that Jolie could be requesting full custody, although that has yet to be confirmed by the actor or her lawyer. It was also reported that Pitt would allegedly be fighting for joint custody. Bustle has reached out to the actors' reps for comment on these claims as well, but has not received a response.

Prenups aren't the most romantic thing in the world, but they sure do come in handy when you need them — especially when you're talking about millions of dollars being split between a couple.
