Donald Trump Is Cartman From 'South Park'

by Hope Racine

Donald Trump has been called a lot of things during this presidential campaign — some flattering, and some not so kind. But no description of the Republican frontrunner has been as accurate as comedian Ilana Glazer's absolutely on point Tweet that draws one shockingly obvious conclusion: Trump is Cartman from South Park .

During Monday night's first presidential debate at Hofstra University, Trump's Cartman impression was in full force. During the numerous Republican primary debates, Trump proved that he was capable of showing up and putting on a somewhat serious show. But that Trump quickly left the building on Monday, as he repeatedly took Clinton's bait & worked himself up into a near tantrum at one point.

By the end of the debate, pretty much no one would have been surprised if he had truly channeled Cartman by yelling "Screw you guys, I'm going home," and storming off the stage. Luckily (or unluckily, depending on how you view it) Trump stuck out the fight, but his tone bordered on petulant at times. And once you see the Cartman comparison, it's really hard to unsee it. As Trump struggled to keep up with Clinton on key issues, he at times fell into his own traps, and Clinton simply stood by and let him.

Glazer isn't the first to notice the Cartman comparison, and Twitter was quick to cite examples that proved it, from his facial expressions to his insistence on being right — even when the record clearly proves him wrong.

Hopefully Trump can pull himself together for the next debate, because the internet might not be equipped to watch a full scale, real life Cartman breakdown.
