Updates On The Kim Kardashian Robbery

by Nicole Pomarico

In case you've missed the terrifying news, on Sunday night, Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint in her Paris, France hotel room while she was visiting to Fashion Week. As CNN reported when the news first broke, Kardashian was locked in a bathroom after men dressed as police officers entered the apartment she was renting and stole millions of dollars worth of her personal belongings. And as the story develops on Monday morning, more details of Kardashian's robbery have come to light, making it clear that the incident was truly horrifying.

So what exactly was stolen? According to what Paris officials told the Associated Press, the thieves took more than $10 million in jewelry, which included a $4.5 million ring, and a jewelry box whose contents are worth $6.7 million, although what was inside hasn't yet been disclosed. People adds that two cell phones as well as Kardashian's purse were also stolen in the attack.

A source close to the situation told E!, "She begged for them to let her live and [said] she has babies at home. Then they wrapped her mouth in tape and put her in the bathtub . . . She thought they were for sure going to kill her." Bustle has reached out to Kardashian's rep regarding this claim, but has not yet received a response.

E! also added that Kardashian's mom, Kris Jenner, has said her daughter "will be OK." Not long after the robbery, Kardashian left Paris on a private jet, and on Sunday night, her husband, Kanye West, ended his performance at New York City's Meadows Festival early, claiming there was a "family emergency" he had to attend to.

Just after the incident happened, Kardashian's rep released the following statement:

Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken but physically unharmed.

Update, Oct. 3, 11:34 a.m.: Kardashian and West were spotted entering a building in New York City surrounded by a large amount of security. According to TMZ, Kardashian's mom, Kris Jenner, and her boyfriend, Corey Gamble, were also present.

Update, Oct. 3, 3:51 p.m.: E! released the following statement to Hollywood Life: "All of us at E! are incredibly thankful that Kim Kardashian West is safe, and we send her and her family our love and support. 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' was not filming at the time of the robbery. Our focus right now is entirely on Kim’s well-being." In addition, a rep for Kardashian tells Bustle that KUWTK was "not shooting in Paris."
