Barron Trump Is All Of Us During Donald's Speech

by Kadeen Griffiths

If you find it a little hard to focus on President-elect Donald Trump making his acceptance speech on Tuesday night, you're not alone. His son, Barron Trump, looked sleepy and confused during the speech as well. He looked pretty much exactly like what you'd expect a 10-year-old boy to look like at 3 a.m. when forced to Do Politics. His eyes wandered. He rocked back and forth on his feet. His eyes widened every now and again, like he was desperately trying to stay awake. I feel his pain. I've been awake for almost 24 hours, and I, too, am tired of hearing Donald Trump speak. Sadly, we'll all have to listen to him speak for the next four years.

My heart goes out to the kid. I mean, my heart goes out to all of America right now, but Barron Trump in particular looks like all he wants or needs at this moment in time is a long nap. And that is just so relatable to me, because I would also like to sleep and perhaps wake up in a world where this isn't happening. Since that isn't how real life works, instead I'm going to continue to gaze at Barron Trump and empathize with how exhausted and bored he looks during Donald Trump's speech. Barron Trump gets me. My soul empathizes with this 10-year-old, guys, and I know I'm not alone here.

1. In A Nutshell

No, but really though.

2. He Just Gets It

I am Barron Trump and Barron Trump is me.

3. Please Let This Kid Rest

Please.

4. They're Already Today's Memes

As if the internet would be slow enough to save this until tomorrow.

5. Same

But then I ask myself that question a lot, not just tonight.

6. Also True

This may not be how he's feeling, but it's how I like to imagine he feels.

7. He's The Only Kid Who Doesn't Like It

Seriously, don't most kids dream of staying up late?

So, basically, in that moment, Barron Trump became all of us. Now, hopefully, that boy can get some rest, because we've got four years of sleepless nights ahead of us.
