'Below Deck's Nico Scholly's Brother Dies At 21

In some extremely sad news, Below Deck star Nico Scholly's brother, Tristen Scholly, died at 21, the Bravolebrity announced on Twitter Monday. The cause of death is unclear, but based on this thank you tweet to fans shared by Nico of a GoFundMe page memorializing his late brother, it seems that Tristen may have been on life support before he died. "My younger brother of 21 is now an angle [sic]. So please pray for my family." Nico continued, "My heart is hurting today. Come by northwestern memorial in Chicago to show support. I feel like I'm dreaming. I can't believe this..." He then tweeted, "I've never felt this pain before. I never understood the term broken-hearted til now. I just want to wake up.."

Nico has also taken to Instagram, where he is remembering his baby brother with some truly emotional photos. Alongside a photo of the two at a hockey game, Nico wrote a touching post showing just how much his brother meant to him and how much he will miss him:

My best friend. My other half. My favorite little sh*t. I hated you quiet [sic] often but loved the hell out of u no matter what. My heart is completely broken. This strong an [sic] amazing young man will be donating his heart, lungs, and organs to save people's lives. I'm going to miss you so much Tristen.. your [sic] to [sic] young to say goodbye so I'll see u again brother.

Nico shared another Instagram once again praising his brother for being an organ donor. "Idk what to say," he wrote. "So here's a pic of me and my brother. This brave amazing guy is donating his lungs, heart, and other organs. He will save 4 different individuals lives. I love u so much."

Then, alongside a photo of Nico and Tristen laughing while sharing a drink, the reality star wrote, "Always making me laugh you little smart ass. Never a dull moment. I miss u so much already."

Nico's Below Deck co-star Kate Chastain took to Twitter to express her condolences, writing, "My heart is broken for the Scholly family. Please say an extra prayer for strength and God's grace as they endure this tragedy." Former Below Deck star Adrienne Gang also tweeted. She wrote, "#BelowDeck friends, fans, and family: Please send as much love and light towards @NicoScholly93 and his family as you can in this hard time."

Nico released a statement to Bravo's The Daily Dish Tuesday reading, "My family and I are truly devastated. We ask that our privacy be respected at this tragic and very difficult time."

As someone who unfortunately also knows what it's like to lose a brother, my thoughts are with Nico and his family during this unimaginable and painful time.
