Kim's BFF Says She & Kanye Are Not Divorcing

by Michelle McGahan

Despite the bombshell Us Weekly report that "Kim Kardashian wants to divorce" Kanye West, Kardashian's bestie Jonathan Cheban is denying claims of a Kimye divorce. I mean, he's literally laughing them off.

"I just FaceTimed with Kim and Kanye and everyone's talking about some divorce rumors and I was laughing because I didn't hear that all day and I guess everybody else apparently here did and it's so funny to me because it's so not true," he told E! on Wednesday. "They're in good spirits. I don't want to talk much about them because it's not my business but I do have to say that the divorcing is kind of hysterical, that I will mention, because I just spoke to both of them on FaceTime literally before I was coming here and when I heard that I literally burst out laughing."

In addition to Cheban's reassurance that Kimye is here to stay, another E! source (an unnamed one, this time) is also now speaking out to deny the reports of a divorce. "According to someone close to Kardashian's legal team, reports of Kim wanting to file for divorce are inaccurate," the network, which of course broadcasts Keeping Up With the Kardashians, wrote in a new article. E! News quoted the "someone close to Kardashian's legal team" as saying, "I know for a fact that's not true.'" Another source added: "Kim does not want to divorce and she is spending her time taking care of Kanye."

The denial of reports comes on the heels of Entertainment Tonight's own take on Kimye's situation, with their insider claiming that "Kim and Kanye are 100% together." The source also took it one step further and denied reports that the two are living separately while the rapper receives outpatient therapy. "Not only is the rumor that they are splitting not true, but so is the report of them living apart," the insider claimed.

Of course, the rumors got started on Wednesday when an Us Weekly source alleged that Kardashian "wants a divorce" from West, who was hospitalized on Nov. 21 for exhaustion. (He has since been released and has allegedly been receiving outpatient therapy.) The magazine's insider went on to claim that Kardashian is building a case to get full custody of their children. "It will take some time before she can do anything," the source said, "but she doesn’t want to stay married." Bustle has reached out to Kardashian's rep for comment but has not yet received a response.

However, with this report being denied but multiple sources from other outlets — as well as Kardashian's close friend and confidante — it looks like a Kimye divorce may be off the table for now.
