Pic of Walker's Brothers in 'Fast' Is Emotional

by Jenny Jaffe

Filming has resumed on Fast & Furious 7 and as Bustle previously reported, Paul Walker's brothers will stand in for the late actor in order for his scenes to be completed. Today we got our first look at Caleb and Cody Walker on set, courtesy of Vin Diesel's Facebook page. In the picture, Diesel, with his back toward the camera, is seen talking to Walker's look-a-like brothers, who seem, if not happy to be there, at least to be putting on a brave face for the production.

The photo is accompanied by this heartbreaking caption:

When I heard the news, I left the production, grabbed a plane and took my family and Michelle back to LA... drove directly to his parent's house...His Father said, Paul loved you Vin... I awkwardly and nervously said, aw come on... then he said... you don't have to get along every second to love each other... so true.P.s. After spending time with his biological brothers, I must say to the parents, you raised some great kids.

Fans should take comfort in the fact that Paul Walker's memory remains alive on set every day. His co-stars clearly have not forgotten about him, and neither has Hollywood. Just last week, he was honored at the MTV Movie Awards.

It was no doubt a difficult decision to move on with the franchise without the star, but perhaps this will be cathartic for Walker's brothers, who are honoring their brother's memory by literally stepping into his shoes.

It's clear that, although the film is continuing on without him, Paul Walker remains in the hearts of his co-stars, family, and fans. Everyone involved just wants to make him proud, and it's set updates like Vin Diesel's post that provide hope the film will do just that.
