Porsha's 'RHOA' Brawl Apology Is Shocking

The storyline surrounding what has arguably become the most infamous wig-snatching episode in history continues to expand. Despite The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams' initial regret-filled reaction to attacking Kenya Moore, I still believed that somewhere not far beneath the surface lurked at least a tiny amount of glee stemming from the literal take-down of her longtime nemesis. Her magazine cover-worthy mugshot did little to alter my opinion, but Porsha Williams' recent apology for the RHOA brawl makes me reconsider my stance. But what about Moore: Is this enough for her to forgive and forget?

Williams told US Weekly:

I suffered severe bullying since I was a child, to the extent of contemplating suicide and was also physically and mentally abused in my marriage. Throughout the season on Real Housewives I was manipulated and bullied and at the reunion taping when emotions were heightened. I was pushed too far with objects waved in my face and my personal space was continuously violated, and I reacted in a way which I am not proud of.

To be clear, Williams' childhood troubles and newly revealed allegations of spousal abuse don't negate her role in exacerbating the reunion incident. Moore clearly started it, but I still think Williams should've chosen a different way to finish it. That aside, her statement feels really sincere and if she truly was experiencing physical abuse, perhaps Moore will take this into consideration the next time she feels the need to deliver scathing personal attacks via bullhorn.

Maybe Moore will even drop the charges, or is that too much to ask of a former beauty queen gone rogue? Based off her cutthroat tactics, it'll be interesting to see if Moore reveals that she actually has a human side and is capable of showing sympathy and understanding towards another warm-blooded creature that isn't a dog.

We know Williams obviously wasn't at her best during the reunion, but when she's not being antagonized, she comes off as a pretty nice, non-threatening person. Hopefully Moore will take this opportunity to show us what she's like at her best because so far, that's a view that remains to be seen.
