The 'HoC' Cast is at the WHCD, and It's Weird

by Kate Ward

Doug Stamper, Linda Vasquez, and Lucas Goodwin are attending the White House Correspondents' Dinner. I mean, House of Cards stars Michael Kelly, Sakina Jaffrey, and Sebastian Arcelus are attending the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Not only does their mere presence in Washington D.C., mean that President Obama — a self-professed fan of the series — will be nerding out at nerd prom, but the trio is also providing viewers of the show with a weird life-imitating-art experience. It would be like seeing Ellen Pompeo at the operating table; Bryan Cranston at a fried chicken joint; a star of The Challenge at the STD clinic. They just fit in too perfectly! It's enough to make any fan wonder if Frank Underwood is somewhere backstage, scheming with the Duck Dynasty guy over how to oust Obama. Or, at the very least, trying to sweet-talk Obama into appearing in Season 3 of House of Cards .

Sadly, Kevin Spacey is nowhere to be found, but here's guessing Kelly is the man of the hour amongst the Washington, D.C., elite anyway. After all, what politician in need of a fixer wouldn't want the man also known as Doug Stamper on his team, now that he's out of the job?
