Cathartic Cry: Girl With Cancer Duets With Idol

by Carrie Murphy

It's Friday! Celebrate with a cathartic, feel-good cry as you watch a little girl with cancer duet with her hero. Breanna Bercegeay, an 11-year-old leukemia patient at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, sang a duet of "Price Tag" (originally performed by Jessie J) with one of her idols, University of Memphis quarterback Jacob Karam. Breanna is a cheerleader and was recently diagnosed with leukemia this past June.

Their duet with Jacob on piano and Breanna providing vocals lasted for a full 10 songs. According to CBS Sports, Jacob visits St. Jude's pretty regularly, but this was the first time he'd met Breanna. This is also the first time anyone knew that Breanna could sing. Jacob didn't know the song "Price Tag," but he figured out the key from hearing Breanna song and just went with it. Say it with me now: Awwwwww. No, you've got something in your eye!
