Another Train Crash, This One In Switzerland

by Lane Florsheim

Two commuter trains collided head-on Monday between the cities of Moudon and Payerne in western Switzerland, according to Swiss Railways spokesman Reto Schaerli.

Swiss media reported that at least 44 were injured in the crash, at least four of them seriously. One person still has not been recovered from the wreckage.

Between the deadly train derailment in Spain, the Italian tour bus crash, and the San Francisco airplane runway collision, July has not been a good month for transport safety.
