Read This Little Girl's Adorable Letter To Google

Wednesdays are hard. Hump day is when you can catch a glimpse of the light at the end of the tunnel, but know you've still got half of the work week ahead of you. But one little girl got her daddy a reprieve from at least one mid-week slump by writing a letter to Google asking for her dad's day off. So that's definitely one day to get around sick-day limitations: Have your little kid scribble a notebook-paper letter to your employer. The best I could ever do for my parents is get them a day off to take care of me when I was sick.

Apparently, Dad's been working hard. The letter reads:

Dear Google Worker,

Can you please make sure when daddy goes to work, he gets one day off. Like he can get a day off on Wednesday. Because daddy only gets a day off on Saturday.

P.P.S. It is summer, you know

I mean, summer? Birthday? Wednesday? That sounds like pretty solid rationale to me. Something about it written in blue crayon really must have sealed the deal for Google. Not only did they respond to the daughter of the year, but they were sure to let her know that her dad has been doing great work with the company. So not only did they give him the aforementioned Wednesday off, but the entire first of July.

Man, Dad. Use that vacation time to take that girl to Disney World. She deserves Mickey Mouse ears, four rides on the teacups, the whole shebang. It's nice to see a corporate giant really take the time to respond and show sensitivity to families. I mean, we know that you have ping pong tables in the office, Google, but this is a whole new level of a great corporate environment.

So lesson learned: When you have children, hope they're cool enough to pull some heartstrings to get you a few days off of work while they're still cute. Somehow I feel like this won't fly past the age of 10.
