They Need to Stop with the Fake Guns

by Jenny Jaffe

Remember a few weeks ago when Khloe Kardashian posted a picture on Instagram with her boyfriend French Montana in which they were drinking champagne while Montana held an automatic rifle? And remember how that was pretty problematic because, you know, we've got a massive problem with gun violence in this country and glamorizing guns only increases that problem? Well, they're at it again. On her Instagram Thursday, Khloe Kardashian posted a photo of herself and Montana wearing creepy clown masks while Montana holds a bouquet of black roses. Trace those masks back to Montana's Instagram page and you'll find yet another picture of Khloe Kardashian and French Montana toting guns and wearing those same scary masks.

Apparently, the masks and the guns are a part of Montana's latest music video, so admittedly, I have no idea how they're going to be used in context. Maybe they'll be part of an anti-gun violence statement in the video, who knows, hope springs eternal. But when you have a platform as big as the ones that Kardashian and French Montana have, it's blatant irresponsibility to glamorize guns in a way that would make them seem fun and desirable to a young and impressionable audience.

Besides that, those masks are honestly disturbing as all hell.

Check out the horrifying selfies below.
