Ron Livingston's New Show Sounds Fantastic

It's always been my firm belief that Ron Livingston deserves way more roles than he seems to be given. Sure, Boardwalk Empire, The Conjuring, and Game Change were all great, but it's sort of disappointing that the dude's most memorable role since 1999's career defining Office Space is playing one of Carrie Bradshaw's more terrible boyfriends, Jack Berger, on Sex and the City. C'mon, Hollywood, Ron Livingston deserves better! AMC seems have taken notice of this: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ron Livingston will star in the AMC comedy pilot We Hate Paul Revere , and, even better, the role is that of history legend Paul Revere.

We Hate Paul Revere, which will be one of AMC's first comedy shows (and will probably be great, if they do comedy as well as they do drama — see: Mad Men, The Walking Dead), was written, and executive-produced by Ethan Sandler and Adrian Wenner, who are also starring in the series. (And, yes, in case you were wondering: Ethan Sandler is related to Adam Sandler, and he's also married to Step Brothers star Kathryn Hahn.

Sandler and Wenner will both portray brothers Hugh and Ebenezer Moody, who are both living in colonial times and struggling to make their mark on history when people are more concerned with watching what people more famous than them are doing. Like, for instance, Paul Revere! Hence the title, We Hate Paul Revere. Is anyone else getting kind of a Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead sort of vibe from this whole project? Because I totally am, and I am loving it.

The pilot for the series will begin shooting next month in Los Angeles. Rejoice!
