Watch Obama Sing Iggy Azalea's "Fancy"

by Abby Johnston

If the Great Dijon Mustard-gate of 2009 taught us anything, it's that President Obama is totally fancy. He doesn't eat regular mustard like you plebes, OK? But in case the president's condiment choices have faded from your mind, a new video of Obama singing Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" will remind you of how much swag is sitting in the White House right now.

But OK, he isn't actually singing, per se. The video was birthed from the creative geniuses over at Baracksdubs, who stitched together the song from various speech clips. This is far from the first presidential dubbing. Joe Biden, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Mitt Romney have all made appearances on the channel. Obama's past "hits" have included Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend," Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe," and Daft Punk's "Get Lucky." If the formula was getting a little tired, this one definitely brought it back to relevancy.

Honestly, at this point I think it gives us an out to listen to the song again, so thanks for that. Is it weird to do my runs while listening to pop songs pseudo-sung by the president? These are actual thoughts I had as I heard that beat again. You just can't escape it!

Maybe this will serve as some inspiration for the president's burgeoning musical career. Based on his Al Green fanboy-ing, we know he has a decent set of pipes, so why not take this to the next level after he leaves office? What do retired presidents do, anyway? Bill Clinton could take over on saxophone, and Iggy could continue to write hilariously inappropriate songs for distinguished, fancy people to sing. You're welcome, Barack. I've just mapped out your retirement plan.
