'Fashion Police' Guest Lydia Hearst Is A Total Fashion Guru & Media Mogul
Even though she has all the money she needs in the world, Lydia Hearst (yeah, the Lydia Hearst of the Hearst empire) has made quite a name for herself, and not just because she got help from her media mogul family. After moving her way up the ranks in the fashion world, Lydia Hearst will guest star on Fashion Police with Mary Lynn Rajskub and of course, the regular FP crew. While Rajskub will be cracking jokes, we can depend on Hearst to give us the real scoop on what’s trending and who dressed like a total train wreck.
While many of us know her last name and everything about her family, there aren't too many details about her personal life that seep into our everyday lives. Maybe my complete lack of fashion know-how has hindered my Hearst knowledge, but after some research, I'm convinced that she's the coolest person ever. (Pardon me while I work on accepting the fact that I am not cool enough to ever hang out in the same posse as her.) These are eight must-know things about Lydia Hearst.
Why Being a Hearst Is Kind of a Big Deal
For those who don’t fall asleep reading books about the history of journalism, Hearst is a major publishing company founded by Lydia Hearst’s great grandfather William Randolph Hearst in 1887. Have you seen the film Citizen Kane? Yeah, that’s about Hearst. He was very, very, very (don’t think I can say this enough) successful. Have you read Cosmopolitan, Seventeen, Harper’s Bazaar, or Esquire? Yep. You’ve read a Hearst publication.
She's Got Serious Skills
No, really though. If being gorgeous wasn’t enough, Hearst also lists an enviable number of skills on her jam-packed resume. She speaks French (of course she speaks French) and her athletic skills are beyond that of a normal human being: bowling, golf, cheerleading, track & field, aerobics, equestrian, swimming, firearms, archery, motorbike driving, wirework, trapeze and fabric, stunts. She Has... Interesting Taste In Men
Actually, she has a long list famous exes, but Kevin Connelly is the most recent, so we will start with him. They met through mutual friends (and via Facebook, of all things). Hearst revealed to Access Hollywood that she awesomely reached out to Connelly first. “It was a while ago. It’s been over a year. But I love him to death and I’m very happy.”
…And Jeff Goldblum
Goldblum is currently busy “crashing weddings” but once upon a time, he dated Hearst. He is 32 years her senior (which could be why it didn't work, if you ask me), but Hearst and Goldblum did date for about a year before they called it quits.
...And a Every Other Guy You Love
Although some of her supposed exes were never confirmed, Hearst has been linked to Benedict Cumberbatch (I hope this is true because Sherlock is the best) and Jared Leto (swoon). Seriously. I did mention I was jealous of her already right?
Her Instagram Is Chock Full of This Cutie
This is for all you cat lovers out there. Hearst’s fur-ball Anubis is one of her favorite photo subjects. Her Instagram is covered in cat pictures, because, well, she’s obsessed with her pet like most of us are. And I have to admit, he’s adorable.

She's Used to Being On TV
