Not that we'd ever throw shade at the the Olsen twins, but we do take issue with some of the messages from their earlier movies. No, not "stealing a jet ski on your family trip to Atlantis is no big deal, just so long as you get the guy in the end," but the idea that you can either be sporty or fashionable — but not both. In their earlier films, Mary-Kate was always the sporty one, while Ashley was the one hitting the mall. They never crossed interests, because, yep, that's what people are like.
Well, hold on to your butterfly clips, Mary-Kate: Michael Kors' new interactive "sporty, sexy, glam" campaign proves that you can be a sporty girl interested in beauty. The campaign includes three collections: sporty, sexy, and glam. Each line is tailored to match the personality and lifestyle of these women, and you can find out which style you are on the Kors Facebook page.
Kors explained to WWD, "I think those three things—sexy, sporty and glam—have always been the DNA of Michael Kors, and in a strange way, the Michael Kors woman really is all three of those things. It's just that she feels more strongly about one of them at certain given times."
Of course you could take the quiz, learn which style you are, and buy out the entirety of that line, but doesn't that sound a tad boring? After all, there's certainly no reason that you can't be sexy and sporty. Maybe sporty with your eyeshadow, but sexy with your lipstick, and glam with your blush? Sounds perfect.
