Marcus Grodd & Lacy Faddoul Are Weird As Hell on Instagram

If I had drafted my Bachelor in Paradise fantasy football team — now something I immediately regret not having — after the first week, Marcus Grodd's partner in crime Lacy Faddoul would have been my linchpin quarterback. She was the best. She was in the ocean 80 percent of the day, she spent all of her time, including official meetings with Chris Harrison, in a hot pink bikini with short-like bottoms (like the one you had in 7th grade, except you didn't look like Lacy in 7th grade), and Lacy was always ready to make out. You go girl. Lacy was sent packing after the first cocktail party during Juan Pablo's season and she wasn't looking to have that happen again; so her solution was just to hook as many guys as possible immediately.

The best thing about Lacy was that all of the other women couldn't stop saying how bad all of this made her look, and how the men were not going to like her acting like that... and the men couldn't stop talking about how awesome and hot she was. One of Lacy's men was Marcus, who took a week — a year in Lacy time — to make sure he was the only one she stayed interested in. And now the rumors are flying that Lacy and Marcus are engaged. So, why are their Instagrams of each other so lacking and awkward? Well, neither one of them are exactly wit monsters, but if you look a little deeper, the awkwardness actually speaks for itself.

Marcus gives it 120 Percent

Most of Marcus and Lacy’s Instagrams aren’t particularly telling, but if they give us any hints about the outcome of Bachelor in Paradise, they’re almost always directed at each other. When Marcus posted his first official picture after the show started airing, he captioned it, “starting off at 120%,” a reference to Lacy infamously saying she was “80/40” on her decision between Marcus and Robert. I think we know who got the 80.

Lacy has a "special someone"

Whereas Clare Crawley uses her Instagram to update people that she’s still sitting at the “singles table” at weddings, Lacy has very subtly made it clear that she’s off the market. Involving children in their hints seems to be the preferred method. In this precious shot of her nephew, Lacy said that he’s reading texts from her “special someone.” Uh huh…

A polite girl is an engaged girl

Lacy has only been on dates with two men while on Bachelor in Paradise (because she pretty much turned her mic pack off and fell in love after the first one with Marcus), but she’s posted thank yous on her Instagram for both of them. Whereas Robert got an impersonal screen grab captioned “Thank you for being my date,” Marcus got this lovey-dovey blurred shot with “Thank you for taking me on the most romantic date.” And a rose emoji! Marcus is getting Lacy’s rose 4eva.

Frankly, I could use some more drama

On their Instagrams, Lacy and Marcus both give a few references to watching the drama unfold, or kind of looking on at the drama. One can only assume they’re letting us know what became clear in the second episode… don’t expect us to dart out of a rose ceremony into the jungle, because we’re very happy together. And boring.

Visiting the beach, are we?

This weekend, Marcus wasn’t shy about letting his fans know that he was leaving Dallas visiting the West coast. Not that a big of a deal, or a rarity for him, except…

Isn't it romantic?

It looks like Lacey was also visiting a beautiful beach at the exact same time. The San Diego girl could account for Marcus’ extra trips to “LA,” not to mention there are two wine glasses in that picture (toasting to spending the rest of their lives together). We see you and we feel you, Lacy.
