She Wore ODLR to Elle's Women in Hollywood Awards

The news of Oscar de la Renta's passing last night shook up the fashion world as style aficionados and fans alike lost an iconic visionary. One event that was taking place at the time was Elle's Women in Hollywood Awards in Beverly Hills. Several of the dinner's attendees had been known to turn to the designer to dress them for some of the biggest events of the year, one of whom was Jennifer Lawrence. In fact, she was wearing an one of Oscar de la Renta's dresses to Elle's annual fête.

Even before it was announced that de la Renta had died at the age of 82, people were raving about J. Law's wardrobe choice. The long-sleeved white lace cocktail dress was timeless and classy, much like the designer of the piece himself. She's also proved to skeptics that the rule banning white after labor day is, frankly, stupid. (Even though I don't wear much white at all, I still think it's a little ridiculous to put the kibosh on a color for four months a year.) She topped the look off with a black belt, black heeled sandals, a bold red lip, and perfectly manicured pale pink nails.
