Jessica's Amazing Style Streak Continues

by Rosie Narasaki

I've been closely following the press tour for Interstellar, even though I rather shallowly have no actual desire to see it (OK, I just looked it up on Rotten Tomatoes, and it currently has a 75%, so maybe I'll reconsider). But here's the thing — I've been following that press tour like its the womb of Kate Middleton for one reason and one reason only: the clothes. Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain have been bringing their A+ game!

They've been neck-in-neck stylewise this whole time, but Chastain finally pulled ahead with a coup of a Prada column gown at the New York premiere, while Hathaway faltered slightly in a deconstructed Rodarte number. Yes, after killing it in dragon-printed Givenchy, and a blush number that looked like something straight out of Princess Grace's closet, Ms. Chastain went straight for the bejeweled Prada.

The crystal detailing (utilized both in the form of delicate stripes adorning the bodice and skirt, and in the form of an attention-grabbing jeweled bib) paired with her graphic eye makeup made this look the perfect futuristic vehicle in which to promote the sci-fi Interstellar. Personally, it's one of my favorite looks she's ever worn — right up there with the regal purple Givenchy she wore to Cannes and the black and gold Alexander McQueen she wore to the Academy Awards.
