'Pitch Perfect 2' Is Going To Be Very Stylish

by Rosie Narasaki

Guys. Guys. GUYS. Have you seen the new trailer for Pitch Perfect 2 yet? If you haven't you totally should — I'm not usually someone who gets excited for sequels (who does?), but this one... it looks good. I mean, it was penned by Kay Cannon, it was directed (and produced!) by Elizabeth Banks, and it stars Anna Kendrick — that has to equal some kind of holy trifecta, right? Add that all to the fact that Salvador Perez (the fashion brain behind sartorial piñata Dr. Mindy Lahiri) designed the costumes, and you've pretty much got yourself a guaranteed hit.

I'm a huge fan of Perez — both of his onscreen designs and off (did you see the dress he designed for Mindy Kaling to wear to the Glamour Women of the Year Awards?). What with his propensity for bright colors and mixed prints, he's kind of well, a perfect match for Pitch Perfect 2: He nailed every single look, from Beca's slightly moody "alternative" digs, to Chloe's peppily-printed ultra-prep, to Fat Amy's amazing ability to wear neon. Suffice it to say that everyone involved looks fabulous — so let's take a look!

The Barden Bellas Get Dressed Up

How rad is Chloe's printed fit-and-flare dress? Beca's tartan mini? Amy's white satin gloves and pearls? And the real star of the show here has to be Lilly, with her mixed monochromatic prints + pop-of-color accessories.

Lilly's quirky prints (with an assist from neon Amy)

I'm loving Lilly's vintage-esque style — and it should also be noted that the girls' hair and beauty game is on point.

Also, her fruit printed T-shirt is pure adorability.

Beca's edgy digs

How awesome is that zipper-detailed crimson moto jacket?

That choker/denim/sassy face combo is pretty great too — and Chloe's preppy print game is as covetable as ever.

The sleepover gear

I mean, even their pajamas are adorable. Article A:

Are you as excited about the clothes as I am?
