Ariana Grande's Hair Is Fake, Sure, But These 7 Celebs Rock Faux Locks, Too

It's been almost a year since Ariana Grande admitted her hair was fake via Facebook. "I had to bleach my hair and dye it red every other week for the first 4 years of playing Cat… as one would assume, that completely destroyed my hair…. I wear extensions but I wear it in a pony tail because my actual hair is so broken that it looks absolutely ratchet and absurd when I let it down," the pop star wrote.

I try to remind myself of this every time I catch a glance at her luscious locks, to keep myself from getting crazy jealous that I don't have that rockstar volume that just begs for some onstage hair flipping. I could totally have Grande's look too with just a trip to the salon (and ya know, a disposable income...)

It turns out though that tons of other celebs love them some fake hair. From extensions to full wigs, all of Hollywood seems to know that it's an easy and quick way to change up their style and make all of us normal folk jealous. Should we be surprised? No, but it's nice to know that not all of these celebs have hit the genetic lottery when it comes to their beautiful locks; they're just totally faking it.

Tyra Banks

The supermodel may have the hair of an angel, but the heavens didn’t give it to her. Banks has admitted on several occasions that she loves her extensions. She did give us a glimpse at her natural locks once when she went weave-free on her talk show back in 2009.

Katy Perry

It shouldn’t be a surprise that Katy Perry’s bright and vibrant strands are mostly extensions and wigs. It’s either that or Perry is a legitimate unicorn princess with how quickly she changes the rainbow color of her locks. The pop star even burned her blue “California Gurls” wig in a promotional video for her Prism album.

Beyoncé

Beyoncé is way too cool for day of the week underwear — girl has day of the week hair instead. With the way she goes from long to short to long to lob in basically the blink of an eye, there’s no way that Queen Bey doesn’t get a little help from extensions. But since, she’s never explained the magic behind those tresses, Bey’s hair remains a mystery.

Kim Kardashian

Kimmy K has been known to adore her extensions. And thank goodness, because if Kim and her sisters all had those impossibly full, sexy, long locks, I would be screaming at the universe for not making me a Kardashian (you know, more than usual…) The reality star instagrammed a shot of herself sans extensions, but of course, she still looks amazing.

Sarah Hyland

The actress’s long locks don’t actually run in her Modern Family. Hyland may rock a lob offset, but she often wears extensions when she plays Haley Dunphy on her hit show.

Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell has spent her life as one of the world’s top models, and those years of wearing wigs and extensions has unfortunately wrecked havoc on her hair.

Nicki Minaj

I mean, this could totally be her natural hair, right?!
