Call in Sick Next Week & Watch This

by Lindsay Mannering

You're looking a little sick. Do you feel OK? I mean, it just seems like you're in the early stages of a cold. Like, are your glands kinda hurting? Let me feel th — yup, swollen. You're definitely coming down with something. It's not going to hit you this weekend... I'm thinking you'll be taken down by this mid-next week. Which, LOL, is so funny because it just so happens that AMC's Breaking Bad marathon starts on Wednesday. Starting at 8 p.m. on Sept. 25, all four seasons will run consecutively — the fun will end Friday night.

Just kidding! No it won't. On Saturday, Sept. 28, AMC will begin airing all of Season 5 at 11 p.m. (get that coffee, girl), which will culminate with the 75-minute series finale at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29.

So yeah, that tickle in your throat is definitely the sign of something bad to come. I think it's influenza. You're 100 percent getting the flu. No doubt about it. Do your best to nip this terrible disease in the bud — soups, warm blankets, calls to your mother — but you might as well just accept it. You're going to be sick next week. Maybe you should just let your boss know now? Because you're a good employee like that? Your call.

Plus, when March Madness rolls around, you'll be the only one who'll show up for work, having built up your immunity to flu season so early in the game, and all. Well done, you.
