Queen Latifah Is Far From Scrooge

Is she the next Santa Claus? It's a good possibility, but one thing does remain certain and that is that Queen Latifah isn't Scrooge this holiday season. The former host of the recently canceled The Queen Latifah Show is giving back to her staff in a big way. Per E! News, Queen Latifah is paying the crew with her own money. That's right, she's taking money out of her own pocket and giving it to those who worked on the talk show.

Apparently, despite production being shut down, Latifah will pay the show's crew through the holidays. Even though already recorded original episodes of Latifah's talk show will run through March, the production crew is no longer needed. For Latifah to still pay them speaks volumes. I have a feeling their holidays just got a whole lot merrier and brighter.

This really should come as no surprise, especially if you look at one of the Facebook posts Latifah shared amid the cancellation, where she gracefully thanked everyone from the show. Part of the post reads,

Your dedication and sacrifice was crucial to the entire team, and in the face of intense challenges, you displayed 'True Grit'! Thank you for your strong work ethic and great effort in getting The Queen Latifah Show off the ground and running. Your Family, Partners, Staff and Crew showed up with you every step of the way. Be very proud of that! Not everyone can say the same.

She sure knows how to make what should be a joyous season, joyous.
