The Rock is Here for Christmas Cheer

by Maitri Suhas

Forget Nicolas Cage: America, your true national treasure is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who, besides Vin Diesel, seems like the nicest bodybuilder-turned-actor in Hollywood. On Wednesday morning on a special Christmas edition of Live with Kelly and Michael, The Rock turned it out (one could even say he ... rocked out) in a karaoke face-off singing "Here Comes Santa Claus." His already outstanding performance was elevated to the Next Level by his ensemble of a Christmas sweater onesie, a santa hat, and sweet Nike sneaks.

I cherish The Rock. I wish him all the best and all the success in his life. I could watch this clip forever, and I lament the fact that it's only a minute and 22 seconds long. Hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan were wearing jammies too, but no one can pull off a onesie in such an aggressively yet non-threatening manner like "The Rock." You'll be pleased as punch to know that "The Rock" is in fact an excellent singer, with stage presence that will knock your socks off. In fact, he'll be exercising his love of the song in the upcoming Disney princess feature Moana. He is truly a renaissance man.

Beyond the fact that this adorable goon is hella proud to be wearing a onesie on daytime television, it's been an exhausting year of celebrities who are just utter crap in their actions. Let's at least, on Christmas Eve, appreciate the greatness of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who all around seems like a jovial, generous dude. And he knows how to laugh at himself with that big, dazzling mouth (what kind of Whitestrips...?) And just to make sure, I googled "Is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson a nice guy?" and many personal anecdotes confirm that he definitely is.

Merry Rock-Mas!
