Kim Explains Why She Doesn't Smile for the Cameras

by Kristie Rohwedder

Monday afternoon, Kim Kardashian shared yet another picture from the Kardashian-Jenner Christmas party (and may she share a new one every day until the end of time! I would be so thrilled!). Who cares? you ask. Uh, I do. There is something about the newest pic that is not like the other Kardashian-Jenner Christmas party pics that’ve popped up on Mrs. Kardashian-West’s Instagram account. And that something is that big ol' grin on Kim's face. The caption of the photo of Kim and family friend Shamari Maurice reads, “See I do smile... even laugh on occasion. Not too often though because it causes wrinkles”.

I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it 10,000 more times by the end of 2k14, but I love Kim Kardashian.

North West's mother can smize with the best of ‘em, yes, but she isn’t one to cheese it up for the camera. I can get behind that. For I, like Kim, am not a fan of flashing my pearly whites for the camera. Up until now, I did not have a specific reason beyond "meh, I just feel awkward every time I smile for a picture." From here on out, when I don't want to smile for a photo, I will tell people I am practicing the art of wrinkle prevention.

(I do realize she's kidding, but I DGAF. I'm embracing this "smiling causes wrinkles" stance 100%.)
