2015 Is Gonna Include a Lot of Tom Hiddleston

There's a lot to look forward to about 2015, especially for the pop culture buff. For starters, the new Star Wars film, for instance, is set to be released in 2015. A new season of The Walking Dead is set to premiere as well, and I can't even fathom what craziness potentially awaits us there. Also, the dawn of 2015 means more films featuring the dashing Tom Hiddleston, and that, of course, is always something to look forward to no matter what time of year.

Just knowing this, of course, is exciting enough news for any Tom Hiddleston fan to hear. I mean, personally, it's enough to make me want to open up Tumblr and fall into a fabulous abyss of beautiful Tom Hiddleston GIFs, videos, and graphics. But, I won't do that (yet), because I'm about to do you one even better and break down where and when exactly we're confirmed to be seeing Hiddleston on the big screen during the new year — because there really is no shame in keeping track of his upcoming roles (and there's definitely no shame in marking everything on your phone's calendar so you can make sure you don't miss anything).

So, what's Hiddleston got lined up for 2015?

The Avengers: Age of Ultron - May 1, 2015

Ah, yes — 2015 will first mark the return of The Avengers with Age of Ultron, and thus, the return of Tom Hiddleston portraying the wonderful character Loki. It's been a while since we've seen him in the role (as in, all the way back in 2013!), so this homecoming is long overdue. The Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.

Crimson Peak - October 16, 2015

So, you're telling me that not only is Hiddleston going to make a return as Loki, but he'll also be starring in a film alongside Charlie Hunnam and actual goddess Jessica Chastain? No one pinch me, because this feels like a dream, and it's one I definitely do not want to wake up from. Apparently, Hiddleston almost wasn't even in this film — according to some reports, he replaced his equally dashing British buddy Benedict Cumberbatch in the role — so the fact this project is even on this list is worth cherishing. According to its IMDb page, the project will follow and aspiring author haunted by the ghosts of her past.

I Saw the Light - ??, ??, 2015

Though this project doesn't yet have a release date, it's apparently a biography of legendary singer Hank Williams that stars Hiddleston as Hank Williams. Remember what playing Johnny Cash in Walk the Line did for Joaquin Phoenix's career? This is definitely one to look forward to.

High-Rise - ??, ??, 2015

Another project that doesn't yet have a release date (unless you're in Germany, in which case, you'll be able to see it on Sept. 17, 2015!), a lot isn't actually known about High-Rise other than the fact that it stars a pretty all-star cast — Hiddleston, Jeremy Irons, Luke Evans, Sienna Miller, and Elisabeth Moss — and follows how life grows "out of control" for a group of residents at a tower block. Not too much of a description, yes, but hey, with a cast like that, you and I both know we're seeing this project the second it comes out.
