The Next MAC x Designer Collab Couldn't Be Better

It's official and it's wonderful: the design duo behind Proenza Schouler have decided to team up with MAC to release a limited edition makeup line come April 2014.

We've long admired the way Proenza Schouler's runway models ooze effortless beauty with barely-there makeup, always applied to emphasize natural glow. It seemed like something we could totally pull off, compared to, let's say Givenchy's bejeweled face masks. (Unless you're doing that. In which case, well, power to you.)

This was the reason why Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez decided to collaborate with MAC: to make their catwalk look accessible to the masses (thanks, guys!). "We wanted to create something that the Proenza Schouler woman could relate to off the runway, and the MAC brand is so deeply rooted in fashion that we knew they would understand our vision," said McCollogh and Hernandez.

The Proenza Schouler collection will include Ombré Face Powders, Lipsticks, Pro Longwear Eye Liners, Lip Pencils, and Nail Lacquers. Are you excited yet?

While we mentally stand in line for the entire PS x MAC collection, we thought up three other fashion beauty collaborations that need to happen. Immediately.

1. Alice + Olivia for Stila: Alice + Olivia's latest Spring 2014 collection was the definition of preppy meets pretty. Who better to deliver the charming runway looks than Stila? If such a dreamlike makeup line were ever to exist, we envision it would include romantic pink blushes, nude lipglosses, and the perfect black eyeliner.

2. Mara Hoffman for Make Up For Ever: We can't think of two brands that do color better than Mara Hoffman and Make Up For Ever in each of their respective industries. Imagine if they were to team up — coral-hued lip rouges, tribal-patterned eye shadow palettes and brightly colored cheek stains — a chromatic dream come true!

3. Alexander Wang for Nars: So, this dream make-up collaboration isn't so much about the makeup. After all, Wang's runway models debuted fresh faces at his New York show. Still, their dewy visages and perfectly coiffed brows were everything we wanted on our faces. Wang's make-up artist Diane Kendal shared her secret weapon with NYT : Nars Skin Aqua Gel Luminous Oil-Free Moisturizer. Can you imagine the au natural possibilities of a complete line of Alexander Wang for Nars? Our faces are already beaming at the idea of it.
