These Characters Get Your Feelings on Snow

For those of us living in the Northeast of the 'ol US of A, we are currently in that "awaiting the snowy doomsday to come" phase of the encroaching blizzard. Winter Storm Juno is blowing her way through and pummeling the Mid-Atlantic with inches INCHES, I SAY, of snow. Unless you're one of those "snow people," this kind of weather is the stuff of nightmares. If you're a city dweller, a major snowstorm doesn't only mean loss of public transportation and liquor stores being cleared out until kingdom come... it means weeks and weeks of trudging through that depressing dirty snow sludge. Sure, it's pretty and all, but I find that the older I get, the less whimsical I feel about the snow. It's more of a hassle than it is an escape.

However, snow does mean one glorious thing: SNOW DAYS. After New Year's Day, there are few holidays, time off, or ANYTHING to look forward to until... April? May? The snow day is a blessed occasion in which we are forced by our local governments, who have declared a snow emergency, that staying in and vegging out is REQUIRED (well more so the former, but you get the point). These next snowy, cold days are going to be full of plenty of Netflix, red wine, and many rounds of Bananagrams.
