If you're looking to become gainfully employed in 2015, you may want to check out Glassdoor's list of the 25 Best Jobs in America for 2015, but if, like me, you're a writer, journalist, artist, or interested in the humanities, you're basically out of luck (surprise, surprise!) because the best jobs are mostly STEM-based. To determine how to define "best," the team at Glassdoor used three factors: earning potential (calculated by average annual base salary), number of job openings, and career opportunities rating. They averaged together the scores from these three factors and the jobs with the highest numbers topped the charts.
The top nine jobs, which include database administrator, human resources manager, and software engineer all bring in hefty salaries of over $95,000 a year; in fact, the lowest-paid job on the list, physical therapist, still brings in around $65,000 a year. Physical therapy is also a job with one of the highest number of job openings, along with software engineer, sales manager, QA engineer, and physician assistant, which is also one of the highest earning jobs on the list.
