Will Friedle Will Make Chris Pratt Proud

by Kaitlin Reilly

The Marvel Universe is expanding, and one of your favorite '90s sitcom faces is going along for the ride. According to TVLine, the upcoming Disney XD animated series Guardians of the Galaxy has found its Star Lord in Will Friedle. Fans of Boy Meets World will recognize Friedle immediately as Cory's lovable, if more than a bit eccentric, older brother Eric — he even appeared on the show's spinoff series Girl Meets World to reunite with Cory and co. for an episode. While we won't see his face on the animated show, at least we'll be able to picture it when we hear his voice coming from the inter-galactic crime fighter. (What are the chances that we'll get to hear Star Lord scream out "Feeeeeenaaaaay?")

The upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy series won't be the first time Friedle has lent his voice to an animated character. Since Boy Meets World ended in 2000, Friedle has worked primarily as a voice actor, and has had roles in TV series like Kim Possible (he voiced Ron!), Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Thundercats, and Winx Club: Beyond Believix. And Guardians of the Galaxy isn't the only upcoming TV series that he'll have his voice featured — the actor will also voice Bumblebee in the announced Transformers: Robots in Disguise animated series.

While Friedle's new work is certain to please fans of the Marvel Universe and the Guardians of the Galaxy film, I'll never forget the best role that Friedle has ever played. Behold:
