Take A Peek At J.Crew's First Store In Paris

by Hayli Goode

J.Crew is typically praised for epitomizing classic American style, but the popular brand's next endeavor is moving abroad. J.Crew opened its first-ever store in Paris, located in the Marais at 12 rue Malhe to be exact, and it's just so pretty. Even J.Crew President and Creative Director Jenna Lyons has to be swooning over her too-cool-for-school thick-rimmed glasses.

The store features a very open space, with one side dedicated to menswear, and one side dedicated to women's styles. The space is broken up by a mustard yellow couch and a super ornate rug, according to some photos posted by Racked. The store also has amazing lighting, glass cases of jewelry, and a whole wall dedicated to jeans. Basically, it's J. Crew as we've come to know and love it — only this time, it's in Paris!

To celebrate the new location, J. Crew's Paris shop is carrying a selection of hand-embellished Saint James shirts and individual French-themed Swarovski appliqués that are tres chic. T magazine reports that J. Crew also plans to open a men's boutique in Paris come fall. So many exciting developments!

Besides the ultra chic layout, the clothes seem to have gotten a Parisian-style twist as well. Some designs from the latest collections are now featuring stripes, sewn on patches, fur, and sequined dog-faces. Next time you find yourself in Paris — first of all, please take me with you — you must stop by this store!
