Harrison Has Surgery After Plane Crash

On Thursday evening, news broke that a plane Harrison Ford was piloting crashed. It was reported that Ford, an experienced pilot, landed on the Penmar golf course in Venice, California after the plane reportedly suffered some kind of malfunction. Soon after, Ford was taken to the hospital, where it was said he was receiving treatment for "moderate trauma." Later on, his son, Ben Ford, tweeted, that his dad was fine and "is an incredibly strong man." Now, on Friday, Ford is undergoing surgery for a broken ankle and pelvis, a family source told KTLA.

Even though Ford was reportedly spotted with gashes on his head and cuts on his arms, on Thursday, his spokeswoman, Ina Treciokas, said his injuries were "not life-threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery."

This isn't the first time Ford's been in a plane crash. In 1999 and in 2000, Ford was involved in two small plane crashes, but, fortunately, he walked away without injuries from both accidents. Ever since it was announced that Ford was in such a scary accident, many of his celebrity friends have been showing their support through Twitter. Some of those famous faces include William Shatner, Melissa Joan Hart, Josh Gad, and Billy Ray Cyrus.

Thankfully, Ford wasn't majorly injured and let's hope he has a speedy recovery.
