Kate Wore An All Brown Outfit On St. Patrick's Day

by Sienna Fantozzi

Someone really didn't want to get pinched today. Kate Middleton wore brown on St. Patrick's Day, but just to be safe, she made sure to sneak a bit of green in there, though it felt like more of a fashion garnish than an actual fashion accessory.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the 1st Battalion Irish Guards in England on Tuesday for St. Patrick's Day, and the mom-to-be wore a brown Catherine Walker coat. And a brown hat. And brown gloves. And brown suede heels. So basically, all kinds of lackluster. But given the spirit of the holiday, the Duchess did make sure to don green somewhere. The 33-year-old pinned a shamrock brooch on her coat (once gifted to the Queen Mother by the Irish Guard), which sounds festive, but actually looks like a pile of moss got stuck on her collar. But hey, at least she didn't get pinched!

I have to say, I was slightly disappointed. Kate always looks so radiant in emerald green, but she looks beautiful nonetheless, and I am actually really digging that chocolate brown hat. On a side note, though, she hands down wins the award for always effortlessly camouflaging her bump. Really though, we want to see it!
