Kardashians Stage "Multiple Interventions" For Rob

I've been aware for a while now that things aren't going particularly well for Rob Kardashian, but I guess I didn't realize how bad it's really gotten. According to a source close to production on Keeping Up With the Kardashians who spoke to People, the Kardashians have staged "multiple interventions" for Rob to try to get him back on the straight and narrow, which presumably means that none have yet been successful. If you've read Rob's name in the news at all lately, you'll know about his significant weight gain, the failure of his sock line, and the rumors that Rob is involved with drugs and has a secret son. But something about seeing the phrase "multiple interventions" written out like that just drives the point home that his family is as worried as we are.

He's sad, he's bitter, he's single. He is very depressed and has been [for a while]. It's really hard for him that his sisters are so public and he looks like the shut-in.

Because that's the thing! Whether it's his choice or not, Rob makes only rare appearances on KUWTK and its spin-offs, so, even though Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kris, and Bruce are beyond open about all the other elements of their lives, Rob's problems, whatever they might be, are largely glossed over. And, according to that same source, it's gonna stay that way until he gets back on track:

The attitude has always been that when Rob gets his act together, starts working out and loses weight, everything will be good and he will be happy. But behind the weight gain is this very unhealthy mental state that he keeps struggling with.

Eek, I bet. However, on a dark note, the way it's been set up makes it sound like Rob's recovery is more important to the show than to his own process. Maybe I'm wrong — and I hope I am — but regardless, the Kardashians have allegedly attempted "multiple interventions," all of which have failed.

[Rob] is very against therapy and any kind of rehab. But his family will continue to push for him to get help until he does.

I'm still not sure whether Rob is back there in the shadows because it's in his best interest to be out of the limelight, or because the family doesn't want him tarnishing their reality show brand with his real-person problems, but either way, I'm sending good, encouraging thoughts to Rob. You can pull through this, dude. I know you can.
