The Day of the Doctor Can't Get Here Soon Enough

There's a lot of things we're looking forward to when Doctor Who's "The Day of the Doctor" premieres Nov. 23rd. Well, mainly the return of David Tennant and Billie Piper. But we're assured there are other things happening as well! Regardless, there's a new promo for the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special, and it's just chock-full of old Doctors and CGI.

We showed this trailer to a friend and her first reaction was a sarcastic "That doesn't look like it's gonna be overblown and convoluted AT ALL!" Which, fair. But we still find ourselves psyched for this one, even given the semi-obvious wig Matt Smith is sporting due to the timing of when he had to shave his head to star in Ryan Gosling's directorial debut.

Still, we get the whole secrecy thing, but it'd be nice if we eventually got to see some actual footage from the actual episode of television. Before, you know, the thing actually airs. Not required! But nice. Definitely nice.

Also nice: This pretty much confirms what we've all already suspected, which is that the special will heavily feature the Time War, as the promo mentions the importance of "One moment — one day."
