When Will Lilly Pulitzer x Target Be For Sale?

by Tyler Atwood

Though the weather outside is frightful, the calendar insists it is officially spring, which means that Lilly Pulitzer will be at Target very, very soon. If your idea of sartorial adventure is wearing gray instead of black, Pulitzer's sorority-favored floral and punchy-hued collection may not suit your fancy, but the rest of the world is chomping at the bit in anticipation.

The brand released its impatiently awaited Lilly Pulitzer for Target lookbook to news outlets this past Thursday, and Pulitzer's wares are just the sliver of sunshine needed to pull through the final days of inclement weather. And as an unexpected bonus, Target disclosed the collaboration's release date. On April 19, expect the Target website to crash under the pressure of a thousand neon and pattern addicts hunting for their summer wardrobe, accessory, and house wares essentials. The collection will contain over 250 pieces, all for less than $150 a pop. The vibrant Challis Romper in Pulitzer's Happy Place pattern costs only $34, while the brand's prim pink Shift Dress in See Ya Later retails for a reasonable $38. Plus-size shoppers also have the chance to snap up Pulitzer's wares, as the collection boasts a number of elegant dress styles, bikinis, and tunics in a range of sizes.

Frankly, I feel more blissful just gazing at the Palm Beach-inspired hues. Just imagine what flaunting one of Pulitzer's designs on a tropical beach would do for a case of the post-winter doldrums.
