'Bachelor' Alums Are Having the Best Week Ever

by Lindsay Mannering

We've been on a weird streak with Bachelor news in the last couple of weeks. It's all been happy, lovey-dovey stuff, and it's just bizarre, since the show is known for ripping hearts out of chests and punting them into the parking lot. The latest in joyous news for Bachelor alums comes Melissa Rycroft, who is pregnant with her second child. The former Dancing With the Stars champion announced on Good Morning America that she and husband Tye Strickland will welcome another member of their family in the spring. The couple's daughter, Ava, is 2.

The more good news for Rycroft, the better. Fans have been cheering for her ever since the most amazing season ever in Bachelor history when Jason Mesnick chose Rycroft, then dumped her after their engagement aired on the show. He was all, Whoops! My bad! Proposed to the wrong contestant! and pulled the most fantastic switch-a-roo in the world and ended up proposing to and marrying runner up Molly Malaney.

Mesnick and Malaney welcomed a daughter, Riley, in March, 2013. Mesnick has an 8-year-old son, Ty, from a previous relationship.

If ever there was a time for a Bachelor/Bachelorette reunion, it's now. Between the Catherine Giudici and Sean Lowe wedding, the fact that Elizabeth Kitt and Ty Brown are engaged, the reality that closet-organizer AshLee and deep-V Michael Garofola are an item, and now Rycroft's news, there's a lot to celebrate.

And "celebrating" means drinking champagne until we can't hold back our tears any longer and we start yelling about how fake everyone is. It's the only way to throw a Bachelor party, obviously.
