Meet The Woman Behind Harry's Hair

by Sienna Fantozzi

Have you ever wondered who to credit for crafting the shaggy, beautiful mane that rests atop Harry Styles' head? Meet Lou Teasale: One Direction's hair stylist. There's no room for discussion when it comes to who has the best hair in Hollywood, because Harry Styles' hair is in a category all its own. But let's be honest, although Harry has many talents, cutting and styling his own hair is not one of them. So let's give credit where credit is due, ladies and gents, because Lou's work is obviously pure genius.

The 31-year-old hairstylist was born in Yorkshire, England and trained at the London College of Fashion. She worked as an assistant before landing a hairstyling job on the X Factor, which eventually led her to One Direction. In addition to creating their signature styles, Teasdale goes on tour with the band, traveling all over the world with them, cutting and styling their hair. And though the stylist is responsible for their beauty maintenance, she insists there's a fine line between grooming and girlie. "If you start grooming eyebrows or putting on too much makeup, they start looking feminine," she told Teen Vogue.

So just how does Harry Styles get that fabulous hair?

Lou subscribes to the age-old mantra that less is always more. She uses two products on Harry's hair, one for styling and one for finishing, and is careful not to overdo the product, otherwise it will look too "done." And it seems that sea salt spray isn't just for the girls. One of Teasdale's "must have" products is Fudge Urban Sea Salt Spray, which adds lift and texture. Turns out that that messy bed head look does take a bit of coiffing.

But the ability to touch those luscious locks aside, being Harry's stylist does have some other advantages. Romance rumors between Harry and Teasdale sparked last summer, when the two were spotted holding hands at a wedding.

Whether there's any truth to the rumors or not, girl's certainly got a dream job!
