Spring has sprung, and apparently, our favorite Hollywood stars are feeling the heat. Taylor Schilling's new bob is proof that when the weather starts to get warmer, celebrities' hair starts to get shorter. While Schilling has sported the ever popular lob— or long bob— this marks the star's shortest hair to date, and the result is beach-ready perfection.
Celebrity upon celebrity has been transitioning from long locks to chic bob and lob hairstyles in the past few months. With fashion heavy hitters such as Sarah Hyland, Lucy Hale, and Kim Kardashian West cutting their tresses, the trend was destined to continue. Plus, the lob movement—because at this point it really kind of is a movement— has gained some serious momentum with Lauren Conrad, queen of all long haired women out there, shockingly chopping her locks, too! So whether or not you've taken the plunge into lob land, the trend doesn't seem to be budging an inch.
I'm not super sure where or when the Orange Is the New Black actress got the inspiration for a transition from lob to bob, but wherever and whenever it came from, I'm glad it arrived. Plus, Schilling debuted her new 'do on the same day as the OITNB Season 3 trailer! Talk about good timing.
Schilling's hair is often linked to her character Piper's signature blonde locks on the Netflix original series, so I can't see her switching her look around too drastically (no blush pink or green hair dye for Schilling). Still, the change is just enough to give the gorgeous star a quick change for summer, but also not so grand a change as to affect her locks when all of my dreams come true and a fourth season of Orange Is the New Black is announced and ready for filming.
